Has anyone eaten at Balthazar in Soho?

We're thinking about reserving for lunch one of our days in NYC. Any yeas or nays?

Very good, very popular. If you're in the neighborhood, good choice. They also serve breakfast and I actually prefer it then.

My dear mother, Linda, HATED HATED HATED Balthazar.

The tables are tiny and the place is always packed. You will feel like you are in a can of sardines.

The food is good, but I have always thought that the frites at Les Halles are better than at Balthazar.

Very good bread. Servers are usually friendly. Hostesses are bitches.

I would rather eat at Aqua Grill, which is not that far away.

Thank you for the replies. I think we'll try it.

I don't eat frites, Thin dearest. How do you think I keep my figure?
