HANAUMA BAY ON THANKSGIVING DAY

I'm planning the final details of my trip to Oahu for November 25th through December 2nd. I planned to snorkel at Hanauma Bay on Thursday, November 27th...Thanksgiving Day...and want to make sure that they are open. Can anyone provide this info??? Your help is appreciated.

We'll also be in Hawaii during Thanksgiving period. I checked their website and it didn't say anything about it being closed. So I believe Hanauma Bay is open, but I imagine it's even more crowded because of the holidays. It's closed on Tuesday.

Aloha sahara,

I don't know about Hanauma Bay being open on Thanksgiving, but I'm curious if you're planning on catching any of the Triple Crown of Surfing competition on the north shore while you're there....

How fun...

Thanks very much for the info Tetrabit and Makai1. From what I've read it sounds like Hanauma Bay is always crowded...maybe even more so on a holiday.

Tetrabit...hope that your vacation is fantastic. This will be my first visit to Hawaii. Have you been there before??

Makai1....I was planning to try and catch some of the Rip Curl Surfing competition. I understand that it will be at Sunset Beach during this time. Can you tell me if there is free admission and how is parking during this time. I thought that I read somewhere that you can't park along the road without getting towed. Do you have any info?

Make sure that you go to Hanauma Bay on any day of your vacation. I have traveled alot and it is the most beautiful scenery that I have ever seen--it will take your breath away.
