Picnic at Hanauma Bay

Hello all,

Does Hanauma Bay SP have BBQ grills near the look-out/parking area? If not, does anyone have any good recommendations for BBQing somewhere between Hanauma Bay and Wakiki...after a long day of snorkeling? Thanks in advance for any hints or tips!

Recall seeing picnic tables near the parking lot, but don't recall seeing BBQ grills. Maybe someone who went recently can help you out.

No BBQ grills in there. Don't think they allow it there. Better to bring bagged lunches. They have a food stand, the only one around and its pricey. If you don't want to spend $8-$10 for a burger, then I suggest you bring your own food. Better anyway.

Yes, there are parks along the shore in Hawaii Kai, Aina Hina (sp?, Kahala and Diamond Head areas you could go to. I think Kapiolani Park may have them also.

When I was there last year, there was no food service at all at Hanauma Bay.

Thanks for the tips. We'll avoid the pricey food and scout out some picnic/BBQ spots prior to heading out. Thanks!

There was an article in Sunday's LA Times about Hanauma Bay and Waikiki. Here is the link, you may find it interesting.
