Hanauma bay & Diamond Head in 1 day?

Is it possible to do both in one day and which should we do first to avoid the long lines at Hanauma Bay?
Also are there rest rooms at the Bay?
Thank you,

There are rest rooms at Hanauma Bay. They stress using the restroom before going into the water.

The crowds at Hanuama Bay do depend on the time of year. It's closed on Tues. It's best to get there very early. It opens at 6:00 am.

Is mid-March very busy? That is when we will be in Honolulu.

Yes, it is possible. However, the Diamond Head hike and Hanuama Bay are both best done as early morning activities due to heat on the hike and crowds at the bay. So be prepared for either a hot hike or a full Hanauma parking lot, depending on the order you choose to do these things.

I think it could easily done in one day... go to the Bay early to beat the crowds then hike Diamond Head in the afternoon.

My wife and I hiked the crater around 2 or 3 pm (including the walk from the bus stop). It was hot but didn't think if was a big deal. We did this in May... not sure about other times during the year.

Or you could get up really early (DH opens at 6am) hike to the top and still get to Hanauma Bay before the parking lot fills up

Get to Hanauma Bay early...the water is clearer. The water gets stirred up and murky as the place gets busy. Mid March is the public school Spring Break so lots of Canadians will be travelling to Hawaii. I found the snorkling right is Waikiki (near the breakwaters on the way to the Aquariam) to be good also, Hanauma Bay was a little disappointing..not what it used to be.
