Wow, everyone is so nice to send me their condolences. What a great group of people on this website. Hopefully it will not be too long before I can remember my Dad without the tears coming.

orangetravelcat, it does take time, but believe it or not that day arrives; it gets better.
I certainly extend my condolences for your loss. Focus on the good times you had with your dad. That helped me (and the rest of my family) when my dad died. That, and a hearty Louisiana-style wake the evening of his burial in Pittsburgh (my family's from Cajun Country). We took over the back room of a restaurant and ate, drank and laughed in his memory. It helped all of us, believe me. May happy memories and laughter carry you through as well.
