Great deal for the Muse- NYC

While searching for deals on nice hotels on or around Times Square I happened onto this,(and yes it really works)! I've just booked 2 nights before we head to Long Island to meet our "soon-to-be son-in law's" family.
http://hotels.travelzoo.com/new-york-hotels/245885

$189.00 Thursday - Sunday nights June 29 through Sept 4. YOU HAVE TO BOOK BY THE END OF TODAY!

I have that same travelzoo deal booked also, king bed, Thurs, Fri, and Sat night at end of August for $189. Phenomenal deal, as my daughter and I are seeing 3 Broadway plays, all within 3 blocks of the hotel. Also, it comes w/late 2 pm checkout and that free wine reception from 5 til 6 pm each day (I'll be there).

I didn't realize it ends today, glad I got it too.

And MUCHO THANKS to mclaurie for turning me onto this deal on another person's thread.

Hi emd, I'm glad you've found a deal you're happy with. Did you ever consider trying the $349.00 Breakaway Incentives package for your stay?

Yes, my daughter and I returned last Friday from our 3 night stay there. No problems at all and the hotel itself was great. Free buffet breakfast AND light dinner (pasta one night, soup and salad another) were a nice bonus.

Great location for a short stay, we trained it everywhere from Central Park, Century 21, Serendipity and more.
Walked to Wicked and Top of the Roc.

If you look at the Breakaway website you'll see that all of the Manhattan hotels are for 2 nights only now, but I called about 2 days ago and was assured that the Residence Inn will still allow a 3 night stay for those who purchase through WLVT.(I plan on purchasing another package as soon as I pay my Amex bill from last week!)

If you have any more ?'s, let me know.

Greenhouse, you've got me rethinking now. That is an excellent deal, now that I have your experiential recommendation. Rethinking, rethinking, rethinking. Especially since I have a pricey 3 nights booked w/my daughter in Ocean City, MD the week we get back from NYC...

How was the free buffet breakfast, what did it include? Oh heck, even without it, there is no way to beat that price.

Greenhouse, what kind of bedding did you get?

And where/who did you call to verify that you could get 3 nights there for that pkg, instead of 2 nights as the offer says?

Breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, waffles (make your own) and I believe my daughter even had french toast one morning.

We also had a choice of a variety of cereals, muffins and bagles along with criossants, fruit, yogurts and even oatmeal.

Plastic plates, bowls, etc were available to allow you to bring b/fast to your room which I thought was a nice touch.

We had a queen bed (REALLY comfortable), I'm not sure if Kings are offered.

You can just call Breakaway directly to confirm the 3 night stay through wlvt.

Greenhouse, I am going to go w/the specail deal I got at the Muse, since it will be very hot at end of August and Muse is steps away from the 3 theaters we are going to. But I am planning on purchasing two of the Breakaway Incentives to use at the hotel you stayed at later this year (for two rooms). So THANK YOU very much for reminding me of that great deal.

I am very jealous. I love Kimpton hotels and would love to stay at the Muse during my next visit. Oh, well. I'll just keep an eye on travelzoo.

starrs, keep checking back at travelzoo. They change the specials every day or two, maybe Muse will come back up.

Thanks very much for the feedback. I am just full of anticipation for this trip, every little part of it, including the Muse.

Travelzoo has the best specials for NYC that I have seen anywhere.
