The National Park Service has a website that I can't think of off the top of my head. You could google it though. There, I'm sure you can find a phone number in which to call the Grand Tetons and find out what the weather conditions are. My family was in Yellowstone/Grand Tetons last year in July and they were having unusual weather then too. It was HOT and the day we left, Lake Jackson Lodge was starting to put up warnings about fire!

We too were scheduled for a lake cruise the end of June (a dinner cruise) and just got a call Monday telling us they were cancelling because of low water! We were disappointed. We also have whitewater reservations, they haven't called but we're wondering about those water levels too. Did they send your refund yet?

The drought could affect some of the float trips. Under normal conditions, the Snake River is low in some spots. I assume they would just "relocate" some of the trips to other parts of the river.

I sopke with someone about taking a boat ride near Jenny lake and she said their marina was closed this summer. She explained something about the Idaho potatoe farmers pulling (X) amount of water from the lake in the spring rather than in the fall like they usually do (drought related?) She said everyone in the area is boycotting potatoes, since it's hurting their tourism. Just what I heard.

I was just there and we had short rain showers nearly every day. But because the temperatures were warm the rain wasn't uncomfortable. The locals were very happy about the rain as they said they'd had a drought for the last few years.

We just returned home from a trip to Jackson Hole last Friday. Went white-water rafting and took the ferry across Jenny Lake and had no problem with water levels. My husband and boys went on a fishing boat out on the Snake River, no problems with that either. It rained really hard 4th of July evening cancelling fireworks. You're going to have a great time!

We just got back from staying at Colter Bay. The lake there is drained and marina is closed due to drought. No boats or dinner cruises, obviously. Jackson Lake Lodge had also cancelled their water activities. Jenny Lake Marina was open however. I don't know about cruises, but we rented a canoe there and took the shuttle across to hike. Signal Mountain Lodge marina had boat rentals too. Yellowstone Lake also had boat tours going out while we were there.
