Good movie, what locations?

Broken Flowers, with Bill Murray, is a great new movie, and -- aside from the main plot -- it really gives a good depiction of what traveling in the non-big city, non-tourist attraction US can be like. Airports, rented cars, highways to back roads and back to highways. But they go to considerable length to obscure where, exactly, they filmed. The only references in the credits that even begin to suggest locations are NY and NJ (I'm guessing Upstate and northwest NJ), but I wonder. Does anyone who has seen the film (very much worth seeing) recognize any of the towns, bridges, highways, etc.?

That's so funny! All I could think about was the mysterious locations, too. Good movie - but I hope someone can enlighten us. Too bad the areas were not identified. That is part of the fun of movies for me.

Thanks for the link, MerryTravel -- interesting how varied they managed to get the scenery considering the narrow radius around NYC. I'll bet a lot of non-Northeasterners would be shocked to think that's what New Jersey looks like.

I recognized Saw Mill, thought I recognized something near Palisades, but...

Yes, MerryTravel, thanks for the link. I have been using imdb for a long time without knowing location information is available there.
