Good bar music in NYC

I'm looking for good jazz or blues or country or classic rock, a good bar or pub in Manhattan that we can wear jeans to.

Come uptown to St. Nicks, right off the A train at 148th and St. Nicholas Ave. Some celebrity watching there and some GREAT Jazz.

The Delancey rooftop bar.
168 Delancey, lower east side, between Clinton and Attorney.
We're attending a cocktail party (pre-wedding) there and wondering what to wear! Thanks

Bitter End has good rock/pop/folk music 7 nights a week. Lots of famous stars (including Billy Joel) started their careers there.

The three places andrew8 listed are good, but expensive. For cheaper and more lowkey jazz, try http://www.smallsjazzclub.com/

Country is a bit harder to find. Maybe Rodeo Bar. http://www.rodeobar.com/index.html

rodeo bar sounds like the fit for you ;-) it's fun, and the pub food is pretty decent.
