Good bar music in NYC

I'm looking for good jazz or blues or country or classic rock, a good bar or pub in Manhattan that we can wear jeans to.

Come uptown to St. Nicks, right off the A train at 148th and St. Nicholas Ave. Some celebrity watching there and some GREAT Jazz.

Curious if anyone has info about
The Delancey rooftop bar.
168 Delancey, lower east side, between Clinton and Attorney.
We're attending a cocktail party (pre-wedding) there and wondering what to wear! Thanks

Bitter End has good rock/pop/folk music 7 nights a week. Lots of famous stars (including Billy Joel) started their careers there.

The three places andrew8 listed are good, but expensive. For cheaper and more lowkey jazz, try http://www.smallsjazzclub.com/

Country is a bit harder to find. Maybe Rodeo Bar. http://www.rodeobar.com/index.html

Enjoy.

rodeo bar sounds like the fit for you ;-) it's fun, and the pub food is pretty decent.
