Golfing in Hawaii??
My husband is an avid golfer and he would love to play while we are in hawaii in may. We had major sticker shock when we saw how much some of the golf courses were!! Any advice or recommendations for the best courses at the most reasonable rates?? I don't mind paying around 4180 or under.
Thanks!

Aloha lunabug..
I book direct with kapalua.com
and I get the tee time as close to the twilight hour..(877-527-2582)
Village course you could finish depending on if there is slow play..the elements are very challenging at times so you have to adjust your play.
Plantation is super long..
Any golf on the islands is a wonderful thing and I do all that I can to get the best deal..I will not pay $300..
Pukalani is a great golf course in the up-country of Maui.

Hi:
My husband played Turle Bay on the North Shore of Oahu, and Makena south on Maui (Wailea). They played in the afternoon at the first tee time when it was cheaper. The wind is a bit of a factor on Maui, but they didn't have any trouble finishing before dark either place.
Enjoy!
