Going to La Jolla again!!! Woo Hoo~!!!
Okay, we are booked for our annual sojourn to La Jolla and San Diego area. So, can anyone thell me what else there is to do...Done the beach, the small town eateries, Zoo, Old Town, etc., don't care for Lego Land, and Sea World, but willing to try almost everything else. Help me here.~~~

The Martson House tour was good, and it gave us some interesting San Diego and Balboa Park history: http://www.marstonhouse.org/
Here is a fun local place for breakfast or lunch: http://www.themission1.signonsandiego.com/

In La Jolla you can do a tour of Scripps Institute of Oceanography, the Salk Institute (they have a great tour showcasing the architecture and art displays), the Birch Aquarium. You may have already done this stuff but often it gets overlooked for the other attractions around San Diego.
I can recommend a great restaurant in Solona Beach. Claire's on Cedros. It one of the first LEED buildings in SD and the food is local, organic and fantastic! Be prepared for a bit of a wait. (They close at 3:00).

Nanabee-That sounds like fun. In the meantime, if you ever want to meet for lunch at Claire's let me know. I live in North County but am always in San Diego for work. I'm usually available on Saturday's too. My email is paulambrandt at yahoo dot com.

Maybe consider a drive out to Temecula wine country. It's pretty this time of the year but I won't recommend any of the wine. If you like casinos there are a few in San Diego County, along with one in Temecula.
Also, people enjoy going to Julian.

We just got back from a few days in San Diego and La Jolla. Spent several hours on Saturday doing a kayak tour of the La Jolla Caves with San Diego Bike and Kayak Tours. It was a great way to see the seals, sea lions, and dolphins up close. We were even able to kayak into one of the caves.
