Going away to Cape May

Going to Cape may for a few days in July. Could anyone give me some nice restaurant selections. We have eaten at Washington Inn, Bank Street, peter Shields, Ebbit Room and Union Park. Now thinking of trying Tisha's Fine Dining, the Merion Inn, Axelssons Crab Claw and Alexanders. Could anyone give me there opinion of these places or any other suggestions.

I always feel too young to talk like this but we prefer the Merion Inn for the early prices (before 5:30PM). Make reservations, be there at 5 when they open and ask for a front window seat. The best food and people watching in south Jersey! Plenty of time afterwards for a good walk to sunset beach.

Linda, sorry, I forgot 2 things that you may enjoy. Change your title to "On the Way to Cape May", the theme song of CM County and always remember the Cape May Lobster House. Most Fodorites feel that the restaurant wait is too long but take-out service for sitting on the docks is delightful and the quality and prices of the seafood in the front, counter room is almost unbelieveable.

Dear Cheap But Nice
Thanks for the tip on the Merion Inn. I did read in one of the sites that a person that was there having dinner found ants on the table. Did you ever eat at Tisha's Fine Dining? I have eaten at Lobster House and the food is good. I agree it is better to eat outside. Also I think near there is a place called Axelsonns. It is our Anniversary and we want to go somewhere special to eat.

I have eaten at Tisha's and liked it alot - good seafood and each entree comes with a salad; also, its a BYOB

I can also recommend Merion Inn, Martini Beach and The Blue Pig (at Congress Hall)

For breakfast you might want to try Uncle Bill's Pancake House.
