What's a Great Restaurant in Cape May?

We'll be in the area thic coming weekend and wondered if anyone had any restaurant suggestions. Great food and service preferred; does not have to be child friendly. Cuisine type not that important...a memorable dining experience is more so.

Appreciate any responses and thanks in advance.

Topman,

Cape May has quite a few wonderful restaurants. A few of my favorites are, Waters Edge, Washington Inn, Ebbit Room, Daniels on Broadway, Peter Shields Inn, Axelsson's Blue Claw (Seafood). Hope this helps.

Hello. My husband and I would frequent the Inns of Cape May -- B.C. (before children) 2 or 3 times per year. Anyway, my husband proposed to me at the Washington Inn - which is one of the premier restaurants on the East Coast. Terrific wine list/single malt scotch, etc.

No matter what restaurant you choose (Ebbit Room is also wonderful but a little stuffy), MAKE RESERVATIONS EARLY.

Have fun. Ignore the Riff Raff.

I, too, recommend the Water's Edge. ALso, the Merilon Inn is very good and
reasonably priced. Coincidentally, I will be in Cape May this week too. We have dinner reservations at Ebbit Room, Black Duck, Tisha's and Frescos. You can find more info on Cape May restaurants via the www.capemaytimes.com web site.

It's been a few years and I can still remember breakfast and brunch on the porch of the Mad Batter at the Carroll Villa (which we got to enjoy every day, since we stayed there as well).
