Gloucester hotels info for October

I am hoping that someone can help me find a hotel that is centrally located in Gloucester Ma. for next month. My daughter is working on a tall ship going through the St. Lawrence Seaway and is planning on getting off in Gloucester for a month. My husband and I would like to go out to meet her and be somewhat near the harbor area, etc. Any suggestions-thanks!

We stayed in Rockport, MA a couple years ago at the Emerson Inn.
We drove by a hotel that was right on the water in Gloucester, I believe it was the Bass Rocks Inn. I don't know anything about the rooms, but the views were beautiful!

You might try the yellowpages.com for hotels in Gloucester. Or even google, and you will probably also get a map with the search.

The Bass Rocks closes the last week of October but got a place called the Harbor View-anyone heard of it? The guy said that with the Halloween gatherings in Salem that alot of people book rooms even in Gloucester so he only had a few left.

We used to stay at the cheapest accomadations at this inn with our dog overlooking a clean wonderful pool and the ocean. They are upgrading and pets are no longer welcome, but it could be a perfect place if you have a car. Not much immediately intown but this is a mile or two up the road, and a very beautiful road it is.

Ocean Veiw Inn, Atlantic Ave (lost the url I copied)

Also, I really enjoy Franklin Cafe for dinner in downtown Gloucester.

Good luck!
