Girls weekend in Phoenix -- need recs
My girlfriends and I have decided to spend a girls weekend in Phoenix in early Nov. Looking for recommendations for a good hotel. There will be 3 of us in a room. We are probably interested in a full-service resort, preferably with spa. We are considering the Phoenician, Scottsdale Princess, Biltmore, Royal Palms. Any opinions?
What about restaurants? We don't want to break the bank, but are interested in some good meals in the area -- maybe Mexican?
Will also take ideas on what to do for the weekend, other than gossip, spa, etc.

Royal Palms!!!
We spent 5 glorious days there last December. Luxury every step of the way; great spa, beautiful grounds, nice staff [no tipping!!] excellent food.
I really needed the time to re-coup and it was just perfect.

Our best meals in Scottsdale were at:
www.medizonarestaurant.com/
Also, Taneko Tavern, but while researching the link, I see that they closed down in July.
.
Taliesen West was an interesting tour.

Hi! Ya, Royal Palms is good for the full service resort and in a nice central location (Princess is far).
Depends what kind of scene you are looking for. The Phoenician (pricy) and the Royal Palms.
Hotel Valley Ho, The Mondrian, and the W all have Spa service and there are sooo many alacarte spa's within walking distance. (Check out Moss Spa above Olive and Ivy, Amazing!) in Scottsdale.
You'll find most of the nightlife/dining in Scottsdale.
There is every type of Cuisine in Old Town. Italian, Greek, Sushi, Southwest and Mexican.
For Mexican I would say the Top 3 are:
- Los Sombreros (South Scottsdale- semi casual w/great patio)
- Los Olivos (old town - super casual)
-Frank & Lupes (super casual)
-Gardunos (north scottsdale- semi-casual)
All of them don't disappoint.
And then for a really good non-break-the-bank tour before or after the spa check out Eric's Bike & Hike - www.ericsbikenhike.com)
Fun guides and a great way to see the Old Town Scottsdale. Cheap!
Hope that helps a bit. Have a great time girls!
