Girls trip to LA. Advice please!
Hi!
I am going to LA in April with 3 other girlfriends. We are all just turning 30. Our plan, as horrible as it is, is to star stalk. We just want to go to all the places you read about in US weekly and hopefully see some celebs. I am wondering if there is anyone out there that can give me some advice on the workings of LA. Where should we go? Restaurants, clubs or anywhere else. What is hot right now? Also, any advice on how to get into those high profile clubs? Thank you!!!

In all seriousness getting into "high profile clubs" has a lot to do with how "hot" you and your girlfriends are and how you are dressed.
If you are sexy and dressed like you know it then you'll have a better chance at getting in. Slipping the front door man some cash never hurts either.

I used to live in LA & you're honestly more likely to spot celebrities doing regular things (like shopping or going to the movies)than at a club. I've seen celebrities shopping in the Santa Monica area, Beverly Center, or the Grove. As far as clubs/restarants, anywhere on Sunset is a good bet for star sighting. Good luck!

No shame in star stalking-- it's fun and definitely a departure from the norm. We just did it last week
Anyway, I would suggest staying at a good hotel in either Beverly Hills or West Hollywood with a good concierge. We've stayed at Sunset Villas in West Hollywood and The Beverly Hills Hotel and they both were able to help us get into some fun spots. I loved the Sunset Villas and it has a great bar- The Whiskey Bar which is usually just open to hotel guests/VIPs. I sat at a table next to George Clooney one night-- heaven!
This time around, we ate at Koi and spotted Paris and Nicky Hilton-- sort of pseudo stars if you ask me but they are pretty regular fodder for the tabloids. Reservations are a must otherwise they will not let you in. Also had lunch at the Polo Lounge where we saw Nicole Kidman and Hank Azaria.
Hope this helps and good luck!

Actually, Go (hi!!!
), Paris and Nicky are referred to nowadays as celebuTARDS (famous for being rich and stupid wastes of oxygen and water). See also: Brandon Davis, Kim Kardashian. Anyway, they're getting too hagged-out to be celebutantes.
The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf on Sunset at Fairfax is cited as a good "star-watching" place. The Urth Caffé on Melrose is another place. I've seen the occasional famous person here and there in Santa Monica (where I work), but since my free time is very limited I usually run places and don't look at my surroundings much. And I live in Long Beach, where I've rarely seen anyone famous at all.

I also suggest taking a trip out to malibu and hanging out at the Starbucks and the Malibu Country Mart (shopping) - I am out there quite a bit and have seen Brad Garrett (Everybody Loves Raymond), Tony Danza, Pamela Anderson, etc.....and if it gets boring you can always go and walk along the beach!!

I went on a girl's trip to LA this past June. We stayed at Shutters on the Beach which was GREAT. The Ivy on Robertson was fun...as was shopping on Robertson. Montana street shopping was fun too. We saw lots of stars at the restaurant at The Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica and at Fred Segal in Santa Monica.
