There seems to be a variety of Ghost Walks in Savannah and we would like to do one. Has anyone done this and was it worth it?

When we were in Savannah we were told not to do a ghost walk due to the crime at night.
They said to do a carriage or trolley instead.

We took a ghost tour in Savannah when we were there in 2001. It was great. The tour guide told wonderful stories and we never felt unsafe.

The walking tours are great...The best company is Savannah Walks Inc. Crime will not be an issue in these tours. There are lots of other people just wandering around the city where the tours go but at the same time it is a pretty quiet tour. The carriage and trolly tours are good but do not go on the "hearse" or cemeterys ghost tours.

I've postedthis in other threads already, but the best ghost tours in Savannah are Savannah Haunted History (912) 604-3007 and Ghost Talk Ghost Walk (912) 233-3896.

We stayed several nights, walked all over the city, and never felt unsafe. I asked a Savannah police veteran whether crime was an issue and he said he had never heard of any recent crime in regard to walking tours, and the last time he remembered a incidant was like 5 years ago.
