Fun Florida Trip for My Birthday
I'm trying to plan a trip for my friends and I for my birthday/vacation. I figured Florida would be great. I'm trying to keep it reasonably priced. Probably a long weekend or 5 nights in March. I'm looking for an area that caters to 20 somethings, lots of nightlife, but not Miami. More laid back and like Key West with out the long drive or little plane. Would love for it to be on the beach with everything in walking distance. Any help would be great. Thanks!!!

well, you'll probably want to fly into orlando or miami. there's a lot of places along the east coast north of miami...ft. lauderdale bch; deerfield bch; etc....but your looking at maybe a 2hour drive depending on how far north you go.
if flying into orlando: the st. pete area...but again you're looking at a 2 hr drive.
i often hit the east coast: indialantic or melbourne beach (a little more than 1 hr drive from orlando). we stay at the double tree or crowne plaza on the beach and do the few local bars within walking distance (icabod's; lou's blues;5th ave bistro). but this area might be too slow for you.
