Seetheworld: I love Dell computers! We have two laptops and three PC's at our house. Dell has always treated us very well. When my DS's laptop was vandalazied at school (he was in the laptop program) they immediately sent him a brand new computer, no questions asked.

Kimamom, we have never had problems with our Dell pcs (we have two), but we have had major problems with two out of our three laptops. This time the laptop just died and when the tech told DS to get a screwdriver and open the back of the machine instead of making a service call, we got really upset. It took many calls and an upper level manager to finally get them to send a new one. I don't think the next laptop, however, will be a Dell. I'm glad you have been very fortunate with service but that has not been our experience.

>>Lee Ann--will you have a car? There are fun things to do in San Antonio that don't cost much if at all...you can visit the River Walk & La Villita--if you park at River Center Mall get your parking ticket validated by one of the stores and that will get you an hour or two of free parking. The Alamo is free though there is a donation box. Downtown is beautiful and definately worth a visit if you haven't been before.<<
That sounds promising! Thanks for the tips. Transportation's not a problem as we're driving from New Mexico. I'm sure dd's suitor will want to get off the base, so maybe we'll head downtown.

Marilyn: Here are some more purrs for your kitty and good wishes for his recovery, from me, and ...
the kitty sitting on my monitor (whose tail keeps blocking my view) ...
the one snoozing on my PC ...
the one relaxing on the printer ...
the one studying the mouse ...
the one sitting in my lap ...
the one drifting off to sleep in the chair next to me ...
the two bathing each other on the cabinet next to the computer desk ...
and so on, and so on, and so on ...

Rave: I'm back online after too long a hiatus.
Rave: We finally moved into our new house.
Rant: it's still not finished, so there is a nonstop parade of plumbers, electricians, painters, etc stumbling over our boxes.
Rave: the kids are adjusting pretty well.
Rave: 51 crisp degrees in Tulsa with a clear blue sky. I love it!
Rave: DH and I started talking vacation and it looks like San Diego (with kids) and Amalfi Coast (without kids) are on the docket for next year.
Rave: I'm so glad to be back!

Donna, exactly how many cats do you have? (I counted 8 in your last post.)
Betsy, thanks!
To all kind and concerned kitty-lovers: Our boy Romeo requires no recovery -- he is actually just FINE. Not even any apparent sore spots. The mind boggles.
