Not feeling particularly rave-ish today:

Rant: I have bronchitis and on Sunday I'm supposed to take the kids to Sedona to visit my parents. We may have to cancel.

Rant: all the people suffering in the Schiavo case. Amongst all the debate, I think we can all agree that if you don't have your living will in order, DO IT NOW.

Rave: my family

Rant: Packing (and the associated laundry).

Rave: Baseball begins next week!

Rant: Missing Angels opener because we'll be in NY,

I'm not feeling particularly rave-ish today either. It hasn't been such a good week.

rant: a close family friend died last weekend as a result of a car accident. He was only 23.

rant: have to take my cat to the cardiologist today for a check up on his heart.
rant: the Pope's failing health
rant: the poor family and friends of Terry Schiavo

rave: I'm in good health and am surrounded by a loving boyfriend, family and friends.

RANT: It's harder to climb stairs. Losing muscle mass is the pits.

RAVE: The beautiful sunshine today.
A good day to walk, walk, walk and build up that muscle mass

Sorry for all the Fodorite's who are ill. Hope you all feel better.

Rave: Beautiful spring (but hot as summer) day in Savannah yesterday for the first day of the Home and Garden tour.
Rant: Rain is predicted for today.
Rave: Hopefully we can get in the morning tour before the rain hits. It won't matter once we are in the City Club for Tea.

Wednesday - Congratulations! A baby always brings hope.

Ethel - So sorry for your loss - such anguish to lose someone young.

Prayers for the Pope, a great man. May the Catholic Church be blessed to have his successor be as good a leader.

Rave - Opening Day of baseball season and the Red Sox are World Champions.

Rant - Why doesn't the US put a high value on education? Education costs a lot of money - there's no escaping that fact. And yet throughout the US we continually underfund it. We are shortchanging our future.

Wait a second Bennnie. We DO value education in this country, but we have something called a budget to stick by. Most town school budget is 50% of the total budget. We also voted in prop 2 1/2 here in Mass and we are paying for that now. We can't have overides to continually support it.

Rave--Had a great trip to the SF area to visit my parents and see the sights.

Rant--Never enough time there.

Rave--The rain! Here in OR it is a precious commodity right now.

Rant--The suffering of the Pope.

Rave--I get to tag along on a hiking field trip for my sons class.

Jocelyn--I had bronchitis just before we left on our trip, but my doctor was great and I felt like a new person by the time we arrived in CA. Hope you are able to make your trip and that you feel better.

Ethel--That is very sad. Hope everyone is coping as best as possible.

Wednesday--Exciting about your sisters baby!

Rave: The sun is shining and my garden is under way- many flowers planted, already many butterflies visiting. Waiting for the hummingbirds.
We are all well, which is something to Rave about.
Good friend in London is expecting a baby, we will now have to go in the fall to visit and meet our God- baby

Rant:
All my friends who feel sick or sad, Big big hugs to you
Things will get better, they always do.

Raves galore:
Tonight I am TRAVELING to Michigan and putting in the pier tomorrow. Plus my taxes are done and we all were "standing" at Easter- and gave the little ones something to remember.

BIRDS- there is an explosion of them. Neighbors are actually out talking about it last night. We have about 20 robins per bush fighting for space and birds we have never seen before. They wake me up at 5am chirping so loud through the skylight. Kildeers are back in the same prarie, same spot. WHEN will they wise up!

Rant: Sickness on a whole and especially for all of us humans that have to battle aging and chronic diseases. And guess what, that is all of us eventually if you're "lucky". It's hard to watch beloved parents taking another step backwards everyday, regardless of how great their attitudes are. That really is my only rant. And like the Pope, it is one thing after another. Such is the way of the flesh.

Rave: Drugs to prevent suffering.

Rave: Got my clemetis trimmed and "woven" just at the right time this year, they are taking off so fast that we are going to have purple (jackmani) all over & up- and across the tops of the paladian windows.

LARGE RAVE: My brother is coming home from Iraq in June for his youngest's college graduation.

Rant: What is with the so called "news" these days??? It's been 24 hour Terry Schiavo -- do the media not realize there is other news in the world? I feel like there is this goading of the American public to focus on certain issues, so that we forget about other ones (ie, world poverty, WMD's, etc.) It's become a Roman Circus.

Rave: the weather in California is lovely today !
