kopp, where is your recipe for peach cobbler? I must have missed it...I think I'll treat myself to it this weekend since I don't think it will hold up in the mail.

Hi Love.

Peach Koppler - That's a good one, P_M!

Here you go STW:

Peach Cobbler (and when only the best will do, use premium Fredericksburg peaches from the Texas Hill Country

2 cups fruit (I use 3 cups)
Sugar to taste
1 stick butter
1 cup sugar (use more if using more peaches)
1 cup plain flour
1/2 cup milk
1-1/2 tsp. baking powder

Sweeten fruit to taste and heat through. Melt butter in a baking dish. Mix the sugar, flour, and baking powder together; stir in the milk. Pour this batter on top of melted butter, and pour the fruit on top of the batter. Do not stir. Bake at 350 degrees until brown. (Batter will rise to the top.)

Here's to Seetheworld's celebration, with peach koppler.

Poor Jetset, you don't have any local peaches there in Alaska. Your husband must not be an Alaskan, to have this craving for peach cobbler. Have you ever made a Ritz "apple" pie? It was a big favorite among the locals when I lived there. Made no sense to me. . . But I do love the wild blueberries.

enzian~ well, the expalnation for his peach fetish is simple! He was raised in Washington state and lived near orchards, and his mom canned all that and made the pies and so forth..

No, we do not have them here, but I did buy some very good ones anyway, and our berry variety makes up for it.
I experiment with combinations of fruits too, you never know til you try it! J.

Way to go, STW!

It is so nice to come back on a Tuesday and read such good news.

I'm hoping and praying my youngest son gets hired in his field. It's been almost 18 months and nothing. He can't move either because his wife has a terrific job here.

But news on BOTH is so GOOD. Now maybe we will hear some great news from OWJ in its time.

I could understand Mikemo's abbreviations easily. I worked in pharmacy for my earlist years. LOL! And I do all the time to for my own notes.

Let's not be so heavy on each other. Life is hard enough without an addition of disdain.

I wish I could bottle all the golden light on the lake and sent you all some. Located NEXT to the best peach orchards in the world in Michigan. And yes, just picked- not shipped or refrigerated.

Sweet STW ~ Outstanding! What great news, and I am so glad you didn't wait until Friday!

Hope your happy headache disappeared into the shadows of the night and you are still smiling pain free.

STW~Mazel Tov!!

In defense of Mikemo~He has worked in cancer treatment medicine for eons and was offering what I believe, is what most people in his field would. I actually think it's good advice.

I'm a nurse with now 30 years experience and am not likely to suggest "the doctor is always right".
I am saying, I'd probably suggest the same.

Things like "cell pathology" and "tumor margins" are best agreed upon but not fewer than two.
