Rave: Congratulations to all of the High School graduates! I also remember that strange feeling of no longer having to attend a school function -- such mixed feelings! Hugs to you

Eileenleft: How sad and hard -- my sympathies.

Congrats to those who lost weight, sold houses, and are turning a year older. What good reasons to celebrate!

Rave: Wonderful trip to Hawaii.

Rant: Stepping off the plane into a snow/rain storm. Aaah, June in Montana!

Rant: Back to real life.

Rave: I like my real life! But travelling is fun, too.

Happy Friday!

Rant: I believe Issace Newton was accurate in stating "For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction." Unfortunately, what that means is that Bonnie's weight loss has been balanced out by my recent weight gain.

Rave: The medication that's causing my weight to balloon seems to be working so I'm ok with the extra, gulp, 16 pounds I've added the last 3 weeks. Given the options I had if the medication didn't work, I'll deal with needing some new clothes.

Rave: That modern technology has allowed us to keep in pretty close contact with my brother in Iraq.

Rant: That he's in Iraq.

Rant: Not sleeping much this week.

Rave: The documentary on Irish singer Shane MacGowan that I watched very, very late one night. A fascinating portrait of a musical genius and legendary drunk.

Rant-Packing! How did I accumulate so much stuff?

Rave-Memorial Golf Tournament going on here. I was out yesterday watching the pros. Wish I could hit a golf ball half as long as they do.

Rave-School's out! Nuff said.

Rant-Toe is slowly feeling better.

Happy Birthday Go Travel
Congratulations Bonnie!
cd-
Scarlett-Congrats on the sale, did you bury St. Joseph!

My heart goes out to everyone with loved ones in Iraq and it breaks for the loss of a single one of them.

Thank you , I did not even have time to go find St Joseph, someone found us instead
And they have a wee baby girl that will have such fun growing up in this house ~

Hey Ryan: Just wanted to say thanks for all of the information you provided on Hoboken. It looks like it will be my son's home beginning in August! Let's just say that as his mother, I am pleased with his (and his roommate's) choice

Glad to hear that you have been able to keep in close contact with your brother -- always keeping good thoughts.

Rave: Had a wonderful weekend up at our condo. Snowboarding in the morning and kayaking and laying in the sun by the lake in the afternoon.

Rave: DS and his girlfriend had a great time in SF looking for a graduation dress!

Rave: Ashland, OR soon to have a nice dinner and catch the Green Show before heading over to the OR Coast for a bit.

Rave: SF soon to visit the Ferry Building and have a nice dinner @ Farallon! Yummy!

Rave: Nice dinner tonight with oldest son and his fiance. I think we'll have Mexican food!

Rant: Tickets to Pink Martini at the Liberty Theater are sold out. We really wanted to see this group, we enjoyed them last December so much. It's the grand opening of the newly restored Liberty Theater next weekend in Astoria, OR! www.pinkmartini.com Great group! Happy weekend! ***kim***

Well, guys, maybe that's the solution! When my last 25 or so lbs. are gone, and my BMI is about 24, then I'll be Bonnie_Babe! How's that? What would I do without my Fodorville crazies????

I love "BonnieBabe". That's great, and KellyBelly too. LOL Congrats Kelly and Bonnie of course too...I am SO proud of what you've done. As someone else said, this will stick because you've made a lifestyle change, and one you've grown to enjoy. This is the NewYouBonnieBabe.

Now Scarlett will need a new Portlander name. Something with a PNW ring to it. And gosh...with Kimamom so near so often, could there be a GTG in the works??

Rant: MORE chigger bites and I tried so hard to avoid the things. Insecticide before I began weeding then a shower, scrubbing all over immediately after. Shucks...the only thing left is to quit weeding.

Rave: The smiles shared here.

Have a nice weekend all

BonnieBoop?

Congrats Scarlett!

OO you are cracking me up with thoughts of MizScarlett and ****crazy*** at a Northeast GTG.

We'll have to rename MizScarlett. How about MizPolarFleece?

"Bonniebabe"...I love it!

Yes, we are going to have to come up with a new name for the northwestern Scarlett.

OO, that is definitely ONE thing I don't miss about Texas. Chiggers. OMG! I spent a whole summer in jeans once because my bites were so bad. Eeek.

Ummm... GoT... Oregon is in the NW. And Faina, I thought of Portlandia when Scarlett asked what we in Portland call ourselves. Portlandians? Personally, I think the name Scarlett fits just fine here. We've a bunch of roses of the same color in our yard.
