Rave: I am a greataunt, vs the great aunt I used to be! My favorite neice just had an 8 lb 15 oz daughter- the first of this generation!
Rave: have spent all week making ti-leaf swags, mock orange garlands, and picking/washing ferns to decorate the arena for graduation tomorrow night.
Rant: That after tomorrow, I'll no longer be a Punahou School parent. It has been a wonderful experience over the last 13 years and I will truly miss being a part of the school.
Rave: Thailand and India in August!
Rave: Scarlett's sale! May it go smoothly and quickly!

Rave: Just returned from a great vacation in Naples, FL and still in the "vacation state of mind" ... loved it there ... wouldn't mind moving there, except those hurricanes scare me!

GoTravel: What's the word on your girlfriend? Are you sure it was a Brown Recluse? Depending on the person their bites can be extremely serious!

Sunburn1944, I am sad to hear about your beloved kitty. I have a 15 year old Cairn Terrier, and it will be so hard for us when his time comes.
cd, what a bummer with breaking your ankle. I hope your recovery will be fast and pain-free. (I broke mine on a trip to Hawaii, had to come home 10 days early,so I can empathize!

Yes, girlonthego, I exercise almost every day, water aerobics, biking & weights or a long walk, and I have come to love it! If learning to love exercise could happen to me, there's hope for all!
Byrd, aren't these grandchildren's imaginations wonderful? My 7 yr. old GD can change the rules of ANY game so she & Granny can play it!
Statia, have a wonderful visit with your DH's daughter. My GD will be with us for 3 weeks in August, and I can hardly wait!

Rant: allergies. Please send some of that rain to Chicago. My allergies and my lawn would appreciate it.
Rave: leaving next week for 12 days in Italy - Capri, Positano, and Naples. We booked this trip last August, and I've spent nine months telling myself it was too early to get excited about it. Now I can!
Rant/rave: as usually happens right before vacation, workload has shot up exponentially. Bad for the stress level. Good (income) for future traveling opportunities.
Rave: and on the subject of (former) work, the US Supreme Court unanimously overturning the conviction of Arthur Andersen this week!

Rave: Leaving in a few minutes to attend a marriage conference with dh. I managed to Priceline a Sheraton for $50/night - I hope the room is nice!
Rave: The aforementioned dh and I saw a sneak preview of Cinderella Man Tuesday night. Excellent movie with great performances and a gripping storyline.

Wow, for a "short" week, it sure felt long! Thank goodness it is Friday
Rant: I got a "parking" ticket on campus last night -- you bet I'm going to fight it, lol!
Rave: My DS and his roommates have settled on an apartment. The lease is in circulation at this moment. I am holding my breath that it all works out.
Rant/Rave: My "baby" boy is moving out and starting his new life.
Rave: My DH went nuts and bought a lot of camping equipment. This should be very interesting, LOL

My gym membership is coming up -- I was actually contemplating not renewing because I seem to never get there, but I MUST make time for myself!
