I think a "house bitch" is what used to be called a "wife," as in "Everyone needs a wife." Oddly enough, house bitch seems more unisex than wife...

Diane and Statia, I am quite pleased with myself for finally getting around to doing the paperwork to get my child sponsorship going and judging from your experiences, seems that there will be lots to look forward - being able to communicate back and forth especially for our mutual benefit. I am hoping that she communicates with me in French (I read and understand it fairly well) as that should be a great continuous learning experience.

Rant-My hair stylist left town.

Rave-The new guy who did my hair is a hunk! And he can cut hair!

Rant-Rain, rain, rain and fog.

Rant-I picked up a nasty virus from vounteering in my dd classroom.

Rant: I spent all of last weekend in the hospital. I went to my doctor's office last Thursday, he said to go straight to the ER. I get there and after 10 hrs I'm admitted due to having GALLSTONES!!

Rant: I may now have to have my gall bladder removed as a result. I'll know by the end of the month.

Double Rant: My health insurance doesn't kick in till Dec. 1st so I will be getting a large bill soon.

Rant: Due to impending surgery my vacations will be held off till April.

Rave: Will be going to Nashua, NH for Thanksgiving to spend with BF's family

Rave: I have the sneaking suspicion my BF will be proposing somewhere between Xmas and New Years.

Rave: I started my Xmas shopping already!!

Rave: My BF finally landed another job after being unemployed for a month, however this means he gets the car again!!

Rave: Just contacted my health insurance co and they said since gallstones is not a pre-existing condition, I should be able to have surgery next month and not worry about the bills...Thank God!!!

Rant-my ex-husband and his many many issues..some being quite serious I might add

Capri, having dealt with my DH's psycho ex for many years, I can relate. Take heart that some things do eventually become "water under the bridge." (knock on wood) Enjoy the wine.

Rave: Last week snow and temperatures in the 20's. Milder temps this week and in the mid-60's today!

Rant: I am being overtaken by a terrible cough and I am chilled to the bone - just in time for the holiday

Rave: My DH is finally coming home this evening from his trip. I'm looking foward to some sleep - lots of things going thump in the night which had me reaching under the bed for the baseball bat.

Rave: Looking foward to feeding my starving college sons as they come home to enjoy all of their favorite Thanksgiving foods.

Rave: 'Tho I see very few movies, "Sideways" was worth the visit. (Rest. Ferre in Dallas has a deal - 3 course meal and movie ticket for $23.95) - great meal).
