Thanks for your thoughts, GoTravel. It's my mom's husband who is ill, though. My own husband is just hunky dorey these days. So much so, in fact, his bouncing off the walls energy can drive me batty at times.

Rant: I had my gallbladder removed on Wednesday. OUCH!!!

Rave: No more gallbladder "Attacks" HOORAY!!!

Rave--Had our wonderful "annual girlfriends spa week getaway" last week! Just as good as always. Did lots of shopping, including stuff to donate for needy families for the holidays.

Rave--Our college football rivalry game (the (un)civil war) tomorrow!

Rave--Two parties to go to tomorrow night. Feels especially nice since we are fairly new to the community.

Rave--Family coming for Thanksgiving here.

Rave--Less than a week til the marathon!

Rant--On my getaway I missed both kids last games of the season. DS game was the final championship too (they lost though).

Rant--Website problems.

Not stupid at all It's a joke. He was downsized a year ago and has been looking for employment, but as I was working and he was not, he took care of all the household work. I mean everything! Two months ago we moved into a new house and I've never cooked a meal or scrubbed a floor. Now that he's employed again, YEA! he told me with a smile, "now, you've lost your house bitch'

Rant: Jersey said...[As the Principal of our kids high school says..."have a great day, or not. Its your choice"].

My kids middle school principal said that too, EVERY morning over the PA system, I think his mantra was "Make it a great day or not, it's your choice" I'm so glad my kids are out of middle school and they can stop making fun of this comment daily! Is this what administrative staff learn during their in-service days? Is there a script?

They also have words of the month, like "responsibility" and "compassion" as if saying words many times per month will actually change a child's behaviour.

Rave: Competition program is just 3 minutes...57 minutes less than the freezing cold dress rehearsal of yesterday Two weeks and counting!

Rant/Rave: My husband made it home three house late Sunday night but at least he made it home; others were not so fortunate. A chartered plane carrying two fathers and their sons crashed into a building that night. One of the wives heard about the crash on t.v. My heart breaks for the families.
