I can't wait to see the little munchkins in their splendor! Our neighborhood halloween parade is tomorrow.

My neice and nephew attend a school where Halloween has been changed to Harvest Festival. They were sent home with letters from the school advising against Harry Potter(wizardry and all that). Hip, hip hooray for my nephew who went dressed as Harry Potter last year for "Harvest Festival".

Jocelyn_P, sorry about your little boy. I hope collects a lot of drawings on his cast. When I was a kid we thought it was cool to collect signatures on a cast, but a 3 year old might prefer drawings.

Jocelyn--I am sorry to hear about your little boy. My son did that a few years ago and I still remember the adrenaline rush of all of it. Not fun. Hope he, and you, are doing ok.

Ethel, that's tough. We have a friend that has been considering gastric bypass but has decided against it due to the bad press these past weeks, looks like those those bad stories really are true. Another in-law family member had it because of a health condition the weight was making worse, in her case it turned out okay, she's alomst too skinny now. But it does sound like a dangerous surgery, you'd definitely want to be in good hands for that one

Happy Halloween weekend everyone!

Raves: People here on Fodors with so many problems of one kind or another and yet always manage to be a ray of sunshine, to not complain as most people do, that are so upbeat. You know who you are. Too many to list, but I will mention our dear Patrick who has gone through so much and yet is always such a gentleman and full of kindness and also Kal who always is full of joy. Again, all of you...quite a community of wonderful people.

Rant: Hurricanes, illnesses, accidents, employment problems that Fodorites are going through.

Rave: Again, I am amazed with all of these various problems how strong and upbeat you all are.

Rants: People in high positions that could have such wonderful lives and make such stupid decisions that not only ruin their lives but do nothing to help our country although they tried to give the impression that this was their top priority.

Raves: All the beautifull photos I have received today from various Fodorites. I so appreciate their sharing their lives, the beauty they have seen, the fun they have had.

Rant: Due to constant frustrations this week I feel so behind on so many things. Must get back on track!

Rave: I think this is a Rave LOL...OO and Travelinwifey "bringing me to" with their websites they posted. Or is that a Rant, LOL. Anyway, great fun for sure!

Rant: Hopefully my last. People that have dictated to us what holidays we can celebrate..it upsets me so much as I know it upsets some others.

Rave: All you beautiful kind, fun and caring people here on Fodors. You take the time and make such a huge effort to think of others.
