Four Seasons Restaurant (NYC)

Is this a better spot for lunch or dinner?
Thank you!

Better for what? Like most other places, lunch is less expensive. Otherwise, what are your criteria for "better"?

PS: Babette, you keep asking these open-ended, sort of vague questions, giving us very little to go on!

Lunch is usually better people watching. More chance for celebs/power brokers but also more difficult to get a good table. The real issue is grill room (where the "in" crowd sit) or pool room which is prettier.

I'm sorry for being so vague. I'm a bit overwhelmed at the moment but SO appreciative of all your great advice. I guess these open-ended questions are just seeking input from those in the know (you guys!). My critera is more "esperience-related" than anything so perhaps lunch would be best.

Thanks for your patience. I think I've almost got it! I know we want to eat at Grammercy Tavern, Babbo and Four Seasons. I'm just trying to schedule everything so we aren't jumping all over the place.

Even though it's more expensive, I would recommend dinner at Four Seasons.
First of all, it's tougher getting a "good" table for lunch. Also, the ambiance is so great in the evening. Make your dinner reservation well in advance and ask for the "pool" room.

A couple of suggestions for the Pool Room at dinner; the crisp Long Island roast duck or the chateaubriand, both are for two people with the final preparation done at tableside.
