Fodors Editors - How about a "sticky" thread regarding airport security and baggage rules?

I've lost count of the number of threads - on several boards now - regarding hand baggage, airport security, etc. - in light of current conditions. How about a "sticky" thread - one that does not sink - in which you can hot link to official channels - airlines, government agencies, etc. - so that people can get the latest and most accurate news? There is a lot of misinformation and hearsay floating around at the moment. What do you say?

Gardyloo, there are links to all this on the front page, under "Travel Wire" at the top of the page. Maybe we should start pointing the posters in that direction.

Thanks, Faina!

All rules are here, on the left side. You miss them if this forum is bookmarked.

I think many people link directly to the forums main page; besides the links on the main page are (IMO) inadequate and already outdated.

Where's ole Doug_Stallings, Fodor's Editor, when you need him?! He was lurking around quite a bit a few days ago.

Are there Fodors regulars who have traveled to the UK this week?
Wondering what their experience was and will be.

Well, he is off at any rate.
We shall find out if he is off from work.

Given the severity of the situation, it seems to me that Fodors would find it in its own best interest to post something obvious to the casual user as well as to those who don't bother with the main page.

But that would call for innovation.

Anyone know of someone who's come to the US from the UK this week? Would like to hear how the originating airports were.

Have you noticed? SpeedBuggy says "thanks, Faina" BEFORE my post? Is this website acting up again or was my post deleted?

And I don't remember if I posted once or twice here...
