Technical-copying URLs to Fodors

How could one post the URLs of my Windows "Favorites" in a message here? I tried the export-favorites, cut/paste and copy/paste routine, to no avail.

Wondering if this may work...have you tried putting them into a Word document first?

Right click on the favorite and select "Copy link location" or whatever.
Click on the post and hold right-mouse. Click "Post."

Robespierre: I meant en masse, not individually. Your method works, of course, but if one wanted to copy 100 favorites into "Paris Superthread" that method would be laborious.
Michel_Paris: I tried Word, but only the words copied into Fodors, not the status as a URL (underlined, and as a shortcut).

The short answer is, the only way you can copy URLs as text en masse is if you've already stored them as text somewhere.

I'm not sure if it would be possible to use a social bookmarking site like del.ici.ous to ease the process.

Hi T,

>if one wanted to copy 100 favorites into "Paris Superthread" that method would be laborious.

Are you sure that it is necessary to post 100 of your favorites to any thread?

What would you call a Paris Super-thread?

Hi T,

That would make it a super-duper thread.

Are you just going to post "Here are 100 links from my Favorites Folder" without explaining what each one is about?

Not sure if this is the easiest, but it works.

1. export favorites to a file
2. open file with Excel
3. parse data (convert text to columns) delimited by ". You will now have clean URLs in one column
4. copy from excel and paste
