First trip to NYC!!! A few questions...
OK, I posted about 2 weeks ago about hotel rooms....we ended up with Comfort Inn-Midtown Manhattan...the location will be great for our first time....we'll be fine.
We fly back to CA on a Sunday morning (late October)...JFK at 8:40 am...
#1 Should we change hotels on Sat. night and move to one near the airport to save time on Sunday morning (late October)?
Or,#2 if we stay in Mid-town Manhattan..how long do you think it will take to go from there to JFK? Should we leave at 6:00am from the hotel?
Thanks for any help!!

You don't need to move hotels out to the airpot, on Sunday morning at 6am there will be very little traffic on the street and it should not be a problem getting cab. I would leave the hotel no later than 6:30 to make sure you are there by 7:30, to get through bag check and security.
Have a GREAT time while you are here.

I agree, don't move hotels. On a Sun morning in Oct. there'll be no one on the roads. It could take as little as 30 mins to get to JFk but allow an hour to travel. Whatever time you want to be there, leave an hour before. If you're traveling Jet Blue or another airline that allows printing boarding passes in advance, do it. There's a business center in your hotel with computers with internet access.
