fairmont or hyatt

I will be travelling to Maui with my husband and 2 daughters 14 and 16 next June. We have never been to Hawaii, and I am torn between staying at the Fairmont or the Hyatt. I know they are in different locations, but I'm just wondering if one would be better for teens, either the hotel or the location?

Just got back from a stay aat the Hyatt. Don't know aything about the Fairmont, but if I go again, I'll be back at the Hyatt. Great location and beautiful facility. Lots of children and teens there and in the area also.

Haven't stayed at the Hyatt, but have stayed at the Fairmont Kea Lani. Do a search on this as it has been discussed many times. I would choose the Kea Lani again and again and again.

Thanks for the replies. I have done a search of the threads and I just need some confirmation. It seems that we can't go wrong with either choice.

We stayed at the Hyatt last July with 2 daughters also- ages 18 and 22.
It was great! I researched where to stay at many different sights and the Hyatt won hands down!
