Entertainment Recommendations on Oahu

My sisters and I (age range 55-60) are coming to Oahu in June and looking for some entertainment recommendations. We've visited Hawaii before and have been to several Luaus. Looking for a luau that's a little different/non-traditional. Also looking for light after-dinner entertainment suggestions--quiet piano bar style/popular music/easy rock. We're staying at the Waikiki Shore by Outrigger and would prefer something within walking distance, but could take a taxi if there's something worthwhile that's a little further away. We're also considering renting a car for part of the time--not sure if we should get a car for the whole time as parking is very expensive at the hotel.

The Lewers Lounge at the Halekulani Hotel has a nice piano/sax duo and a jazz singer. We especially enjoyed the music by the trio that plays from 6:00 p.m. until around 9:00 outside at The House without a Key at the hotel. Excellent Hawaiian music, with a good vocalist. You can sit outside with a drink and listen as long as you want. The trio performs on a stage in front of the ocean, and a former Miss Hawaii does hulas from time to time.

Thanks for the recommendations. Is the trio you're talking about at the Lewers Lounge? Or at The House Without a Key? I was a little confused.

The trio is at The House without a Key; at Lewers Lounge there's a jazz pianist/vocalist and a saxophonist.

Thanks for the clarification. I think House without a key is close to where we're staying so we'll probably stop by one night.

House Without a Key

I'm on Oahu every few months and House Without a Key is my favorite splurge. The trio plays outside and a former Miss Hawaii dances the hula to their music. The last of the surfers are finishing their rides, the sunset cruises are out, and Diamond Head sparkles as the sun goes down. Not cheap but worth every penny!

House Without a Key sounds great and it's very close to our hotel. We'll definitely try to fit it into our plans.

House Without a Key is wonderful and if Kanoe Miller is dancing you're in for a treat.
