Enchantment Resort Studios
Has anyone stayed in the studios or standard rooms here? They have a summer rate (for at least four nights) of $206 per night and that's actually affordable! I'd appreciate any info concerning the standard rooms and/or the studios - the casitas are way out of my price range!

They're fine for that price. Good size compared to other hotel rooms built in the same era.
Downsides in my opinion: they need updating. Older furnsihings. Feels a little Ramada Inn-ish.
Bathrooms are decent but not great.
Overall I'd give those roioms a 6-6.5 on a scale of 10.

First off, Enchantment's location is its main selling point. It is truly spectacular.
It's worth staying there even if the rooms were TraveLodge quality.
Second, while the standard rooms are fine, I think many (most?) people who haven't been there expect a bit more based on the typical prices for a city like Sedona.
The casita suites are very nice, but very expensive. They're all pretty new.
If you only stay at hotels like Holiday Inns and Ramadas, you'll think the standard rooms are very nice.
If you've stayed in some nicer places, you'll think they're good for $200, but not the type you'd rave about.
But that's not the point.
Enchantment's atmosphere is what sells rooms.
And the main restauarant serves the best food in the area IMO.

Yes, the Enchantment itself makes up for the rooms, and it's well worth $206 a night. By the way, we had a great rate in the summer and were upgraded to a casita! (I think that's standard practice if the hotel's not full.) Don't know the price difference, but having seen both the standard rooms and the casitas, I'd strongly consider paying extra for the newer casitas. But note, the casitas are farther away from, less convenient to the resort's activities, dining.
