Eating in Eureka Springs, Arkansas

We will be in NW Arkansas next w/e for a wedding, would like a unique place to eat Friday night dinner. NW train dinner is not an option as it leaves too early. Any ideas?

Ermilio's is GREAT - pasta and seafood, one of my favorite restaurants ever. Very intimate, incredible food and wine, great service. Probably $15-20/entree. Rogue's Manor also has great food (steaks and seafood), but last time I was there, the service was bad. Probably $25/entree. Everybody says how good DeVito's (Italian) is, but I disagree - it was definately not as good as Ermilio's. The Crystal Dining Room at the Crescent Hotel is beautiful, and the hotel is very interesting, but the food is only so-so. About $20/entree.

I have eaten at most places in Eureka, but nothing has ever topped Ermilio's for the food, service or atmosphere. That's my recommendation - and if you go there, have the fish of the day. It is always good. Last time I was there, I had some fish I had never heard of, but it was absolutely delicious!

Great recommendations. I totally agree. But if you haven't been to Eureka before, at least drive up and see the Crescent Hotel and then eat at Ermilio's.

Leta is right - definitely go see the Crescent. There is a cocktail lounge upstairs (Doc's Lounge, I think)- just a regular lounge, but go out to the balcony. You will be at the top of the hotel where you can look out over the town.

The Basin Park Hotel in Downtown Eureka also has a great cocktail lounge. Nice atmosphere, very relaxed, and also with a nice view.

One thing I forgot to mention - be prepared for a wait at Ermilio's. We always go early (I think they open at 4). They fill up very quickly, but it is worth the wait.
