Eating in Branson, MO

What restaurants do you recommend to eat dinner in Branson, MO before a show?

We liked Cantina Laredo down on the waterfront. You can watch the fire and water show from you table. The restaurant is not near the shows, but the riverwalk and all the shops and restaurants there are great.

I second Cantina Laredo and also recommend Texas Land and Cattle. It is also at Branson Landing. We have always had good food and service at both establishments. Also, if you're interested in Italian food, you might try Rocky's. It is also downtown and next to the Landing. Don't let the exterior influence your decision. It always gets good reviews and we were pleased with our meal when we ate there.

Cantina Laredo. We like Famous Daves at the landing as well. Shoguns is one of our favorites for Branson as well. Depending on what show you are seeing allow plenty of time to drive the strip from your meal. Of course, you can take some of the back streets to avoid some of the traffic. The Haygoods is our favorite show, but we like just about all of the shows.

So far what I've got from friends is Rocky's for good Italian...also avoid eateries connected with the show places.
More later if I hear more.

Can't give you any advice on that - but Dolly Parton's dinner show was very bad. You eat in the dark and they come by and throw the food on your plate and it is not good. No silverware either - you eat everything with your fingers.

We did eat at Cantina Laredo on Branson Landing. We liked it. It is located right by the fountain at Branson Landing.

We like The Candlestick. An old favorite in Branson it sits up high on the cliff overlooking The Landing. We have been eating there for many years and it is always good. A nice atmsophere - more local and not tacky tourist style.

Enjoy

Added note from a friend: Bob Evans in Branson is nice with a special summer menu...and horehound candy!
