East Coast/Florida Keys Trip-Help!
First-timers to the area and we need help!
Below is our itinerary:
Night 1-Palm Beach;Palm Beach Oceanfront Inn
Night 2-South Beach/Miami; Colony Hotel
Night 3-5-Islamorada; Pines & Palms Resort
Night 6-Key West; Key West B&B
Night 7-somewhere heading back to West Palm Beach--any suggestions??
I wanted to spend more time heading from Palm Beach to Miami (Lauderdale by the Sea) but everything was booked due to Superbowl so decided to only spend one night in South Beach and head to the Keys to avoid the chaos.
Any idea how long it actually takes to drive from Palm Beach to Miami/South Beach taking the scenic route (A1A)?
Any restaurant/snorkeling recommendations would be appreciated also. Love this forum...so helpful!!!

Around two hours from Palm Beach to South Beach via A1A and it is a fantastic drive! I've done this before and it really is great!
I like Card Sound Road to Key Largo instead of US1. Also, you'll love the Pines & Palms.
Night 7 I'd hit Ft. Lauderdale and check out the Las Olas Boulevard area.

I can help with night 1 as PBOI is within a mile of me. It's the last small lodging in the middle of high rise condo row, but walk a bit south for breakfast at the family owned Dune Deck (stuffed french toast) on Lantana Beach or drive a mile north to Lake Worth's public beach for lunch at family owned-local fave John G's for lunch (fish and chips)or breakfast. Small area of shops and nice public beach to walk on.

Thanks so much for the tips--I really appreciate it! The two hour drive from Palm Beach to South Beach will work out great. I was afraid it would turn out to take six hours with no time to make any stops (you know how that sometimes goes!).
We will definitely take Card Sound Road heading down to the keys and the Fort Lauderdale stop on Night 7 sounds like a plan--any specific accommodation you'd recommend?
The stuffed french toast at Dune Deck sounds divine. I am SOOO there!
Any other not-to-miss recommendations?
Would it be worth stopping in Little Havana for lunch before heading to the Keys?
Thanks!

For Night 7 booked a room at Gallery One - Doubletree Suites Hotel in Fort Lauderdale which is a stop on the Water Bus route. It sounds like for an $11 pass we can take in most of the sites on the intercoastal including Las Olas Blvd. Is this correct?
Thanks!
Thanks!
