I don't think they'd enjoy it, even if children that age were allowed:
Admission
$25 General admission
There are no discounts for seniors, students, military and Honolulu Academy of Arts members.
Shangri La tours are not appropriate for children under 12.
Price includes admission to the Honolulu Academy of Arts and its permanent exhibitions.

I loved our tour, but it isn't for young children. As noted in lcuy's post "not appropriate for children under 12." I've been hoping they would finish the renovation on some of the rooms we didn't see, but so far nothing new.
They would probably enjoy the zoo and the aquarium. Even some of the buildings at the Bishop Museum would be fun for them. In the science building they have "volcanos" that you can make erupt. The children around me and I had fun doing that.
