Dollar car rental at Miami airport

I've rented from Dollar once many years ago (at Las Vegas) and stopped because of the poor service I received at that time. Now, I found an incredible deal with them in April but am unsure if I should use them again.

Pretty risky. Use Priceline and bid $1 less per day than the Dollar base rate and you will probably get another company at a slightly better price.
Read the other thread about a rental car that was a "bomb".
If you want to rent and return during normal (9-5) hours, consider renting at a downtown location to avoid a lot of airport fees/taxes.

I always rent from Dollar. I joined their 'fastlane' so I don't have to wait in line. I often get upgrades and I have never had a problem that was not fixed onsite immediatly. It costs nothing to join, they don't innundate your inbox with advertizments, they just have your credit card on file and your rental agreement choices checked off.(insurances, prepay a tank of gas, underage drivers, etc...)

I often rent from Dollar (albeit in Tulsa, OK, not in Miami), and my experiences have been more like those of ziggypop than tomfuller.

Trying to make a general assessment about any company from a singular bad experience is really difficult. I know nothing specifically bad about the MIA location of Dollar.

Oh, yeah, be sure to rent from the spammer above!!
My opinion is that at any given car rental place you can get good or bad service from any rental company.
If you like the price, take a chance. Watch your contract closely--any time.
