I was wondering if anyone can tell me if dogs (a small dog which fits in a carrier that looks like a purse) are allowed in any of the casinos in Las Vegas. Not the rooms, but the actual casino floor. Thanks.

The vast majority of the Casino hotels do not allow pets anywhere - rooms, casino floor, restaurants. Some motels and resorts do allow pets - so maybe if they have a small casino attached, the pup would be allowed. Not sure - but doubtful.

Inless of course you are a (REALLY) high roller, then you could probably get away w/ anything.

I'm a dog-lover, too..but quite honestly, what is the point?

Bad enough to suject yourself to the smoke, but a littly defenseless pooch? The high-pitched constant noise, lights, and other smells (perfume etc.) will make him very unhappy!

I love my dogs (usually) but do not understand the need to bring them EVERY place.

That being said it is my understanding that the Four Seasons allows dogs. They do not have gaming - but you could bring your dog with you and then leave it in the room while you headed out to gamble et.

I am a dog lover - and can think of few worse places to take one than a casino (even if it were allowed - which I can;t imagine they wold be).

Lot of noise, flashing lights, ringing bells, tons of strange people they don't know, who may step on a tail or foot, indoors, smoky, stuffy - and the dog is supposed to enjoy this?

Part of being a dog lover is understanding that dogs are NOT people. And I don;t mean they need to be kept outdoors or off the furniture or anything - my dogs have always been house pets and sat on the furniture and slept on the beds (one used to put her head on the pillow and snore in my ear). But - a casino is not dog heaven - it's doggy hell.

ahhh Nytraveler - if more people understood that no one loves our children or our pets the way we do... the world might be a better place.

Sure the dog is allowed. Just get a pair of dark sunglasses and pretend he's your guide dog.

OK, just kidding. For the well-being of your dog, I recommend leaving the dog in a nicer place while you enjoy the casino.

dawnoelm- If everyone brought their pets on holidays, the hotels would be a nasty, noisy mess. I pay good money to go to a hotel, knowing I will not have to deal with yappy little dogs, dog or cat messes, and allergies. Being in a hotel room next to a yappy dog would be worse than next to a crying baby.

I actually have been in a room next to a yappy little dog that barked all night. I thought I was loosing my mind. I was on a busy street in Long Beach California at a Renissance? I was high up and so confused on WHAT I was hearing?

Sure enough when I phoned - they allow pets under 25 pounds or so.

Similar thing happened at the Double Tree in San Diego - except this time I was certain my room SMELLED like dog?

I do not think one should take their dog, that being said - the FourSeasons does allow pets... so if the OP wants to take her furry friend - she can.
