I was looking for travel information on the net and found a site just for dog lovers. This site has information on where you can stay with your dog(s). The web site is www.dawbert.com. I don't know if you'll find anything but worth a try. Good luck!

The Bahia Resort accepts dogs, or at least it used to. Owner had a Great Dane. The resort is right on the water, wonderful view, beach. Had normal high rise hotel rooms, plus duplexes, some with kitchens. These were right on beach, with private little patio going to grassy area and then the beach, perfect for dogs. Very private. Restaurant/bar on property and convenient to lots of attractions.

Rancho Valencia Resort in Rancho Santa Fe, The Omm at Rancho Santa Fe (in cottage rooms with patios or porches), San Diego Princess (with deposit), Rancho Bernardo Inn (with deposit), and the most welcoming of all seems to be the U.S. Grant Hotel that has a pampered pet program! Too bad you aren't going to Carmel----the very best we've ever found is the Cypress Inn, owned by Doris Day, where they are invited to wine and cheese in the evening and breakfast on the patio in the morning! Beautiful hotel for canines or humans!!

The Doubletree Del Mar allows them also. Careful where you take pup - some of the parks and beaches don't allow dogs at all during certain hours. Made up for by the wonderful Dog Beach and North Beach on Coronado, though.

I can't believe I didn't see that - I nearly made the same comment on the other 7 year old pet thread that someone topped today. @@ to self.

This page has a list of dog friendly hotels. http://www.san-diego-hotels-resorts....t-friendly.php

I think your best two options are the Hotel Salomar and theW Hotel http://www.san-diego-hotels-resorts....-san-diego.php

Also while you are there, check out the dog beach in either Coronado or Ocean Beach!
