Does a Garment Bag Qualify as Carry-on on Southwest?
I couldn't find anything about garment bags on the Southwest website. Can I take my suit on board in a garment bag (that I would stow in the overhead compartment)? It's been ages since I've done this and was wondering if it's still allowed.

Hi eeyann, I would call Southwest and get the answer from them..than you will know for sure what they allow.

Agree that it's best to call. But I've never had a problem taking a garmet bag as carry on and putting it in overhead. Last did that in April.

I took your advice and called Southwest. They confirmed that garment bags are allowed as carry-on.
