Dinner in St. Paul

Meeting an on-line friend for the first time. ISO the best restaurant for dinner in St. Paul (MUST BE ST.PAUL, NOT MINNEAPOLIS), casual dress, price no object.

Thx.

I am a Minneapolis girl. Even though they are "twin" cities, you do need a passport to cross the river. Ha!
I know WA Frost is popular. I have eaten at Forepaugh's, Vincent's and the St. Paul Grill and had good experiences at all of those places. That is the full extent of my limited St. Paul knowledge. Sorry! Have fun!

We are usually in Mpls. or the suburbs but have also been to the restaurants that AnutAnnie recommends and have liked them all. Think I especially like the St Paul Grill - as I love the St Paul hotel.
Have fun!!

Best Italian restuarant in St Paul, IMO is Ristorante Luci.
Ristorante Luci is located on the NE corner of Randolph and Cleveland Avenues in St. Paul. Here is their website: http://www.ristoranteluci.com/

I love A Rebours in St. Paul - French bistro retaurant. The dress might be a little upscale casual but it's a wonderful experience and a great setting.

Ok, I know you said causal dress but...

We love Fhima's in downtown St, Paul. It is kicky place with a lot of sass. Very fun atmosphere.
French Mediterranean

It would be more business casual to dressy though. Ask for the corner table that has all the pillows, great fun!

They have an excellent wine list, if that is important. I think you could probably get away with a more casual look, like jeans with a dressy shirt in their bar area. Then you could sit at the low tables and chairs and have a martini!

Keep us posted luv2fly!

The Tavern on Grand is a good place to eat. The atmosphere isn't top notch - but the walleye is to die for. There have been a lot of famous people that have eaten there. Good Luck
