Dinner at Patria, NYC
We've thinking of having dinner and mohitos at Patria on our next visit to NYC the end of the month. I checked their website and it looks like they offer both a prix fixe menu and a la carte items for dinner, but when I read customer comments on this site, I hear people complaining about the expense of the prix fixe and having to add on extras. Can't you order from the a la carte items only? Can anyone clear this up for me? We really would like try out this restaurant.

If you're going to be in NYC June 23-27 you should take advantage of restaurant week, Patria is participating:

I've eaten there a few times and didn't even know they have a prix fix (maybe it's not available at the times I go), I've always ordered from a la carte. The restaurant week prix fixes are generally off a limited menu, but the a la carte menu is always available. It's a very good restaurant.

Thanks so much for the tip about restaurant week. I took a look at the information and Patria is offereng a 3 course prix fixe lunch for $20 on the 26th and 27th, which we could take advantage of. There's also a number of other restaurants on the list that I'd like to sample and some of them will be offering this deal through Labor Day. Great!
