Geez, Adu, now that I know you've got a lovely wife I'm even more disappointed!
Ggreen, we'd love to have you be our tour guide. What a sweetheart you are for offering! Our plans have changed a bit time-wise so I don't think we'll have much touring time but perhaps we can see some of the sights anyway. If you do come and walk with us, would you also like to join us for drinks, dinner and/or Bargemusic? We'd love it if you did -- we could get a jump on gossip for the next day's GTG!
Our plane lands after 1, then we've got to check into our hotel and get down to the BB posthaste (cab? subway? what's faster?).
We've decided to do the walk from Manhattan to Brooklyn in the afternoon. I know the views are better the other way and in the evening but we'll just have to turn around and look back. I just don't think that after a day of traveling, walking around DUMBO, dinner and Bargemusic, either is going to feel like walking back across the bridge.
Anyway, that means we're unlikely to get over to DUMBO till late in the afternoon, maybe 3:30 or 4 at the earliest. It would be a short-ish walk but we'd love to have your company!
Bargemusic starts at 8 so it's going to have to be an early dinner, probably 6. Your suggestion of Rebar sounds perfect for us and they take reservations, which is a big help.
What do you think? Walk? Drinks? Dinner? Music? All of the above?

Adu, I was just blushing with the compliments from 3:27pm, but now that you've let out my secret, I'm thinking more of hiding my head and not coming out to play!
I do in fact let out screams, but only at the MTA when they ruin what was otherwise a lovely night with restaurant week dinner at Red Cat (thank you so much for a reminder on another thread!). So gtg, if you are a large metallic creature stuffed with Saturday night revelers, you might hear me scream...
// goddess, I think it all sounds like a lot of fun! I could even meet you on the Manhattan side of the bridge. Whaddya say, Adu? I promise: no screams.
My email address is gfgonline-read [at] yahoo [dot] com. (Adu, I know you have at least one other but they all work...)

Thanks for the invitation. I sent an e-mail.
That Friday night, I must relieve some friends of their money. I play poker with some guys who are now ex-cops. There are guns, alocohol, and cards invovled. Not a good combination especially because I do not drink or carry a gun.

Well, I understand about every second word of this paragraph. I don't know what MTA is (unless it's the Massachusetts Transit Authority, which I doubt) or a 'large metallic creature stuffed with Saturday night revelers' (I'm not).
Despite this somewhat concerning screaming thing, I figure we're pretty safe with ggreen, probably safer than Adu is with his playmates who drink and carry guns.
ggreen, I'll be sending you an email soon!
