I am not sure what the place was called---but I can ask my dad if you are interested---near downtown disney we came upon one day a resturaunt that had literally 30+ choices for "burger" combinations--I put it in quotes because all of the selections could be put on a burger, veggie burger, or chicken----We enjoyed it. Disney food is pretty pricey and not always that good. I always enjoy eating at the land in epcot because there are about 8 different little places to chose from and a lot of the veggies are supposedly grown right in the pavillion. "Norway" also in EPCOT always has wonderful desserts! The toll house cookie bakery on main street has wonderful pasteries! Avoid the McDonalds fries--they charge like $3.00 for the small size! Be sure to eat at off times--so you aren't spending your time int he dining room lines and are instead taking advantage of the lack of lines on the attractions. Hope this helps
Ask if you have anymore questions--Also it would help to see food types and price ranges!

At Universal's Islands of Adventure, we liked Mythos, which is inside the park. Also enjoyed Emeril's, which I just walked up to and asked what times were available, got something for the next day.
At WDW, we liked Flying Fish on the Boardwalk, and I am crazy about the buffet at the Norway pavilion in EPCOT, which is an especially good deal at lunch.
Lots of information at www.disboards.com.

We went last December to Disney. The Hoop De doo Revue is a cute show and dinner. The food is okay. The kids enjoyed the show. Alfredos in Italy (EPCOT)was very good. The Sci-fi drive in at MGM was fun! You sit in the car and order burgers, fries and shakes and watch old horror movies. The kids thought it was great. The burgers were good. Epcot has some excellent restaurants. You can have appetizers in one, dinner in another, and dessert in another! You can eat off property, but some of the charm of being there is eating in some of the theme restaurants. There are many character dinners, etc. It depends if you are bringing kids. I agree with a321 sesame, eat at off times!!!You should make some reservations in advance of your trip. AAA sells an insider to Disney book and it is worth it! It gives reviews on restaurants and everything in the area. Enjoy!

We visited Orlando last September and our favourite restaurant was Bahama Breeze's. The food / cocktails are great and they are alot of fun. They get really busy in the evenings but the atmosphere is excellent. I think there are a few in the Orlando area.

Yes, I would suggest Bahama Breeze. The food is good and the atmosphere is very nice. If you have kids, a good place is Ohana's in the Disney Polynesian. They serve food constantly and it's very themematical. Kids play games around the tables and it's lots of fun. Also, aside from dining, wear shorts outside, it's VERY hot right now. You'll turn into a lobster if you don't keep yourself cool.

I was at WDW in June 2002, and my favorite off property places were Chevy's (tex/mex place with lots of food and low prices) and Pizzaria Uno (I'm a sucker for pizza).
One of my favorite Disney places is the Beaches and Cream ice cream shop located at the Yacht and Beach Club resort. They have great burgers and ice cream (of course). Prices are fairly reasonable too. A delicious but expensive option is Boma, the African buffet restaurant in the Animal Kingdom Lodge. It was so interesting to try various kinds of African foods and the zebra domes for dessert are to die for!
A great book for information in the Orlando area is "The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World."
