Denver hotels

Anyone know about downtown Denver hotels? Don't want the expense of the Brown Palace! We're looking at Monaco, Magnolia & Embassy Suites for the location.

My husband and I were in Downtown Denver 3 weeks ago and stayed at the Embassy Suites. It is a very nice hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel also has a full breakfast every morning which included omelets, waffles, pancakes, etc. In the evening there is a managers reception from 5:30 to 7pm with munchies and free drinks. It is located on 18th and Curtis just 2 blks from the 16th St. mall, 4 blks from Coors field. Lots of places to shop and eat.Our rate was $119 per night. Ask for any special rates available. It was a very nice stay. If you have any more questions about the Embassy Suites just let me know. Because of it's location, full breakfast, evening drinks and it is a 2 room suite we felt this was a good deal.

Agree on the Embassy Suites. Stayed there last summer and had a good experience. Nice rooms, spacious, nicely decorated, clean and a good breakfast. I'm pretty picky and I was happy.

I recently stayed in the Warwick and was very pleased. I was able to get a good rate on Orbitz. The hotel is very nice--beds are comfortable and rooms nicely appointed. I did not eat in the restaurant however. They also have a free limo service that will take you anywhere in the downtown area and pick you up! Warwick is not in the LoDo area, but it is within very easy walking distance of the square and other sites--if you don't want to use the free limo service.

The Comfort Inn is right across the street from the Molly Brown. Bid on Priceline or Hotwire for downtown Denver and maybe save a bundle.

Another vote for the Warwick. We were very pleased, and liked the location. (My husband loved having breakfast at the Delectable Egg, a few blocks away.) We were upgraded to a suite, which I understand happens often.

Try the Marriott Courtyard on 16th street. It is not your average Courtyard - it is an old department store converted to a hotel. Great location right on the 16th street mall within walking distance of the theatre complex, Lodo, Denver Pavilion, etc. Last time I checked prices were reasonable.

My husband and I live in Denver. Last June we spent a romantic weekend at the Hotel Monaco. It was wonderful! Bueatiful rooms, great location. A bit pricey but we loved it!
