Does anyone have any suggestions on where to stay in downtown Denver near the convention center? There are four of us going to a convention this summer and are looking for either an all suite hotel with two bedrooms, or an inexpensive hotel nearby. We would also be open to B&B's. We are on a tight budget so money is a factor. Thanks.

Town Place Suites has a downtown location, with some 2-bedroom units, but its about a mile and a half from the convention center.

I have stayed at the Executive Towers. It's a converted highrise apartment complex. Things are a little dated, but it is inexpensive (relative to downtown Denver), clean and safe. The best prices are found on its website -- http://www.exectowerhotel.com/. The Holiday Inn is closer, but I have never stayed there.

Executive Suites is about 6 blocks from the convention center. They have a great hot and cold breakfast buffet, plus an evening cocktail buffet, both included in the price.

Thanks for your replies. I was looking at the Executive Towers, but wasn't sure about it because I have read some unfavorable posts on it. It sounds like a good choice for us.

Unless the executive Towers has been rennovated in the last several years (which I doubt--but it's possible) they are very tired and dated. Even though it's a few blocks farther away, you might try the Adams Mark Hotel. It's no Four Seasons but it is definitely a few steps up from ET and they often have some pretty good rates. They also have two-room suites up high and--depending on availability--will let them go fairly cheap.

We rented a suite there last September for around $160.

Executive Towers has never been top-rated hotel. It does a decent business because it's close to the performing arts center, I'd guess. I think I confused it with the Embassy Suites when I recommended the "Executive Suites." Sorry, my mistake. I meant to suggest the Embassy Suites, a Hilton property.

I've stayed at most of the hotels downtown. Of the hotels mentioned, the only one I did not like was the Adams Mark. It was loud, and the service was bad for the price I paid. However, if you can get a two bedroom suite for $160/night to sleep four, take it.

Yes, the Executive Tower is dated. Its advantage is it's cheap and clean. At that price point, I prefer staying there over the Courtyard two blocks away.

The Comfort Inn is another hotel downtown under $100 per night which is good.
