DC - Best things to do on a Sunday?

We'll have Thurs, Fri and Sat to cover things that are open those days, so what should we save for Sunday? What's open on Sundays when other things are not?

Thanks!

Everything except maybe the Capitol and Supreme Court will be open on Sunday from late morning to around 6.

I would say a day trip to Annapolis, or a picnic on the mall.

Everything is open. i would suggest the zoo in the morning to see all the animals as they are most active in the morning. Other good choices are Arlington Cemetery or Old town Alexandria. The Smithsonians will be crowded with locals as well as tourists on the weekend, so you may want to cover them on Thursday and Friday. The Capital sells same day tickets on Saturdays only til 12, and the Supreme Court will be open if they are not in session. If you haven't already, you should call your congressperson to arrange for the tours of the Capital and the White House. they can also secure tickets to the Mint for you (which is only open M - F).

Go to Georga Brown's for Sunday Jazz brunch. The food is wonderful and if you have a refrigerator/microwave in your room, the price of your brunch includes a full entree off the menue to go. Even if you can't take the to go order, the food is marvelous.
