Daytime Temperatures late March?

Was wondering what the usual expectations
might be for daytime temps in late March. Crazy weather and unpredictable I assume for this time of year but it is warming up here a bit further south finally! Will probably pack for daytime 50-60 degrees, jacket, scarf, etc. Will be in DC March 21-26 and will miss cherry blossoms by a few weeks I understand. Any input very appreciated,
Thanks!

Try reposting this question with DC in the title. You may have chosen DC from the drop-down box, but it shows up in the general US forum and I had to read down to the bottom of your msg to figure out what city you were talking about!

Tiller: Unpredictable is right. We have similar weather to DC (we're in Va) and last year we went to DC for about the same dates (March 17-19)

The weekend before was gorgeous and 70s; the weeked we went was very cold--probably 30s and windy. Just check the forecast before you go and dress in layers. Hope it'll be warm for you!

Go to wunderground.com and click on trip planner and enter your destination and the dates. It will show you the average temps etc.,for those dates. It will also show you the temperatures and precipitation on those dates for the past few years.

We were in DC several years ago in March
and the Cherry Trees were blooming and it was very cold the week we were there.
We did enjoy the trees, but needed a heavy coat and earmuffs.

March is always a crazy and unpredictable weather month in DC. It is finally supposed to be warming up this weekend after temps being below average for a week or so now and the weather on TV just said maybe the high 60's or 70's next week. However the following week while you're in town, temps could easily plunge back down. Most likely it will be in the 50's or 60's but that could be low 50"s or high 60's. Layers would be the way to go. Best thing to do is check the weather sites a few days before your trip to get an idea of what the temps are predicted to be while you're here. The paper today said the blooming period for the Cherry Blossoms is forecast to be April 1-7. Have a great visit.
